The lifetime of a coated steel sheet is measured as the time it takes to reach the stage where re-coating is necessary to preserve its performance or aesthetics. This can be calculated using manufacturers' available performance data and can be seen when the coating starts to fade, craze and/or delaminate or, in the case of smooth finish coatings, when it starts to blister and spot corrode.
Fortunately, it's usually the coating and not the sheet itself that needs replacing. Caught in time, most roofing and cladding can be treated and its protection indefinitely preserved.

Delcote is the only treatment suitable for reinstating an effective long-term coating on pre-finished organic coated sheets. It is particularly suitable for roofing sheets, being a liquid blend of silicones designed for brush, roller, or spray application.
It does not require extensive surface preparation and provides protection with a life expectancy anticipated on PVC Plastisol coated steel.

Delcote is normally applied as a system on roofs, that incorporates the use of Seamsil to treat and prevent corrosion. By sealing laps and encapsulating bolts & cut edges, it ensures that unlike conventional coatings, the weakest details are equally protected.

Delcote is the ideal way to refresh tired and faded side cladding.
It is particularly suitable for replacing porous metallic coatings with a subtle solid matt finish and is ideally suited to brush and roller application for those areas where overspray would present a major problem.
